Thunes runs a proprietary Direct Global Network. Members use a single API to reach over 12 billion mobile wallets, stablecoin wallets and bank accounts, plus 15 billion cards, across 140+ countries and 90+ currencies. Its customers include gig platforms, super-apps, money transfer operators, PSPs and banks, and it earns revenue from payment transaction and network fees. It spun out of TransferTo in 2016. It raised a $150M Series D in April 2025, bringing total funding to about $362M. Some trackers put its valuation at roughly $900M to $1B, and its revenue was estimated at $50M to $100M in 2022.
