Taxo Lab (formerly Taxo, taxo.ai) builds Apex™, a proprietary data-extraction and reasoning engine. It plugs into EHRs and automates prior authorization, medical coding, claim submission and denial management. It sells to healthcare providers and payers, including clinics and government agencies, as enterprise software. It claims up to 90% less administrative work and 98%+ accuracy, with HIPAA and SOC2 compliance. It raised a $5M seed round in March 2025 from Y Combinator, General Catalyst and Character, and reportedly passed $1M ARR in 2024 about six months after launch.
