SRI International
SRI International (originally Stanford Research Institute) is an independent nonprofit research center in Menlo Park, California. It performs sponsored R&D for government agencies, businesses and foundations, including DARPA AI programs. It also commercializes its work through technology licensing, new products and spin-off ventures. It was founded in 1946 by Stanford University and became independent in 1970. It reported about $410M in revenue in 2022 and about 1,690 employees per its tax filings.
