SLAY
SLAY GmbH, now branded Born, builds consumer social apps with AI characters. Its flagship is Pengu, a virtual-pet and AI-companion app, and the company also made the anonymous positive-poll app SLAY and the AI voice app Frfr. The apps are free to consumers and are aimed at teens, couples and friends. The company raised a €2.5M pre-seed led by Accel in 2023, a $5M seed in 2024, and a $15M Series A in September 2025 with Tencent, Accel and Laton Ventures. It reported 15 million Pengu users in 2025 and plans a New York office.
