Qubole
Qubole's platform runs optimized Spark, Presto, Hive and Airflow across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. It uses automation to scale compute up or down and cut cloud costs. Customers included Expedia, Disney, Oracle, Adobe and Activision Blizzard. It was founded in 2011 by Ashish Thusoo and Joydeep Sen Sarma, who earlier worked on Hive at Facebook. It raised about $75M from investors including Lightspeed, CRV and IVP, and Idera acquired it in October 2020 for an undisclosed price. It is a private subsidiary of Idera, and its revenue is not publicly verified.
