Moon Active
Moon Active develops and publishes free-to-play mobile games, led by Coin Master (launched 2016). Its other titles include Family Island and Zen Match. Players are consumers worldwide, and the company earns money mainly from in-app purchases. Insight Partners bought a 10% stake in 2020 at a $1.25B valuation. A $300M raise in November 2021 valued the company at $5B. PitchBook data reported via Globes puts revenue at about $2B in both 2024 and 2025. The company has laid off staff in recent rounds, including 110 employees in January 2026, and its headcount is just under 2,000.
