Formlabs
Formlabs, founded in 2011 by MIT Media Lab students, builds SLA and SLS 3D printers along with proprietary materials, software and post-processing equipment. Its customers are in engineering, manufacturing, dental, healthcare and education. It earns money by selling printers and recurring consumables such as resins and powders. It reports 130,000+ printers sold and 300M+ parts printed. It raised a $150M Series E led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 in 2021 at a $2B valuation. Wikipedia lists revenue of about $250M for 2025.
