Expel runs a 24x7 MDR service on its Workbench platform and its Ruxie AI and agentic models. It monitors customers' existing security tools (endpoint, identity, cloud), investigates alerts and remediates confirmed threats. It sells to mid-market and enterprise organizations in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, technology and retail. It does not publish pricing, and it launched a Managed SIEM service in March 2026. It was founded in 2016 and has raised about $289M in total, with a Series E in 2021 and a last round in October 2022. Its valuation was reported at about $1B in 2021. Third-party estimates put 2025 revenue at about $142M, and headcount is roughly 475–480 in 2026.
