BETA Technologies builds the ALIA electric aircraft (eVTOL and conventional takeoff variants). It also builds propulsion systems, batteries, flight controls, a charging network and pilot training. Its target customers are cargo, medical, passenger and defense operators flying short regional routes. The company was founded in 2017 by Kyle Clark and is based in Vermont. It raised a $318M Series C in 2024 and a $300M investment from GE Aerospace in 2025. It listed on the NYSE (BETA) in November 2025 in an IPO that raised about $1.1B. It reported about $35.6M in revenue and a net loss of about $746M for 2025. Note that it is an aerospace company, not an AI company.
