Aurora Energy Research
Aurora is an Oxford-based provider of data-driven intelligence on power, renewables, storage, hydrogen, carbon and fossil commodity markets. Its revenue comes from subscription market-outlook packages, software, and commissioned advisory projects. Clients include energy companies, investors, corporations and governments. It was founded in 2013 by Oxford University academics and now has roughly 1,000 staff in about 17 offices worldwide. CGE Partners made a private equity investment in 2020, and TPG Rise Climate acquired the company in June 2025.
