It runs on a proprietary workforce-management and task-distribution platform that splits audio into micro-tasks for a global pool of freelancers. Customers range from enterprises in medical, legal and AI training to students and SMBs. It was founded in 2011 and has raised roughly $9–9.6M across angel, seed and Series A rounds (2012–2017), with backers including Keiretsu, Tech Coast Angels, Icehouse Ventures and Plug and Play. Third-party estimates put revenue at about $21M, but this is unverified.
