About Tebra
Tebra was formed in November 2021 by the merger of Kareo (EHR and billing) and PatientPop (practice growth and patient engagement). It sells subscription software for clinical documentation, revenue cycle management, scheduling and marketing, mainly to independent practices with up to about 10 providers. It raised $72M in 2023 at a valuation above $1B. In December 2025 it announced a $250M equity and debt round led by Hildred, with a J.P. Morgan debt facility, to expand AI automation. The company says its platform is used by practices serving about 90 million patients.
