About Playbook HR
Playbook HR, founded in 2014, sold an end-to-end platform covering applicant tracking, onboarding, compliance, background checks and workforce management for companies that use independent workers. It was a StartX (Stanford) graduate and raised a single seed round, with the amount not publicly disclosed. Tracxn reports it became an Intuit subsidiary in March 2015 (an acqui-hire), and Crunchbase lists it as closed and acquired by Intuit. Its only listed AI-related focus is automation, so it is better described as HR software than an AI company.
