About Gretel

Gretel built a platform and APIs for generating, transforming and classifying synthetic data, with an open-core synthesizer library. Customers included finance, healthcare and public-sector organizations with strict privacy needs. It fine-tuned models, added proprietary technology and sold them as packaged products. Founded in 2019, it raised about $65.5M (Series B of $50M led by Anthos Capital in Oct 2021) and was last valued at $320M. Nvidia reportedly acquired it in March 2025 in a nine-figure deal, and its roughly 80 staff joined Nvidia.
