About Bonmarche
Bonmarché is a British value clothing retailer founded in 1982 by Singh Chima. It sells casual and formal wear, outerwear, swimwear, lingerie, nightwear and accessories, mostly to women over 45–50. It sells through its online store, high-street shops and concessions, including Co-op sites opened in 2026. It has been owned by The Edinburgh Woollen Mill since April 2019, and the site names Purepay Retail Limited as the trading entity. Third-party estimates put 2025 online sales at about US$70m. Despite the AI-company framing, it is a fashion retailer, not an AI business.
