BetterUp's platform delivers virtual coaching, assessments, content and AI coaching, and it was a pioneer of virtual coaching. It is sold to enterprises on a subscription SaaS model. It launched an AI coach in January 2025 and is winding down its individual coaching program, which ends January 31, 2027, to focus on enterprise clients. It raised about $570M in total, including a $300M Series E at a $4.7B valuation in October 2021, and reached an estimated $100M ARR in July 2021. As of August 2026 it reported 750+ enterprise customers and 4,000+ coaches in 70+ countries.
