Michael Odhiambo is a software engineer in Mombasa, Kenya, working independently on his own software projects. Michael is best known for Gatekeeperd, an open-source platform for managing self-hosted client applications, payments, and access control. His current work focuses on giving AI agents controlled access to real software, through projects such as gatekeeperd-mcp and the Vela remote desktop ecosystem.
