Esa Mäkeläinen is the founder and CEO of Valuatum Oy, a Helsinki software company that provides credit risk and equity research tools to banks, brokers, investment banks and asset managers. Before starting Valuatum, Esa worked in investment banking on equity analysis and credit risk, at the industrial company Rettig/Marli, and in consulting. He now focuses on AI equity research and gradient boosting credit risk models.
