Human-in-the-Loop Was Designed for Simpler AI – Agents Demand a Revised Oversight Framework (Sponsor)

Prompt, pause, review was fine for dealing with most generative AI. But inspecting each of the hundreds of microdecisions an agent makes is not just impractical – it loses any time saved by using the agent in the first place.

This eBook by Seekr introduces a human-in-control framework for governing AI agents, helping organizations balance autonomy, accuracy, and accountability as AI moves from pilot to production. You'll learn:

  • Why traditional HITL models break when AI becomes more autonomous
  • The human-in-control framework for scalable AI oversight
  • Techniques like RLHF, active learning, and agent supervision
  • A practical blueprint for implementing next-generation HITL

Liquid AI Launches LFM3 Models for On Device AI (27 minute read)

LFM3 is a family of open weight text, vision, audio, omni, and decision models built on a shared tri-hybrid backbone, starting in the 2B parameter range. The 1.7B text model beats its 2.6B predecessor with 35% fewer parameters, fits in about 1 GB at 4 bit precision, and supports a 256K context window for agents running on device. LFM3-VL-2B adds video input and matches Gemma 4 12B across 62 vision benchmarks, and every model in the family fine-tunes on a single GPU.

Google Introduces Genie 4 (5 minute read)

Genie 4 is a world model that generates photorealistic, interactive environments with synchronized audio and real-time prompt-based editing. It can maintain consistent simulations for up to two minutes, doubling Genie 3's duration, while improving physics and character realism.

Formalizing the Enormous Theorem (27 minute read)

Axiom Math has released the first complete computer-checked proof of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups (CFSG). The original CFSG proof is considered to be the longest mathematical proof ever written by humans. It spans roughly 15,000 pages in more than 500 articles written by about 100 mathematicians. Engineers and mathematicians at Axiom Math directed swarms of dozens of AI agents over 24 days in a project that produced approximately 43.1 million lines of code in the Lean proof assistant.

Anthropic Versus Anthropic (17 minute read)

Anthropic is grappling with balancing bold safety initiatives and disappointing operational decisions. CEO Dario Amodei has defended their costly, safety-oriented strategies, yet concerns persist over alignment, governance, and potential risks from AI development. Their internal culture reflects both ambitious efforts and troubling signs of a conventional business approach, sparking debate about their commitment to AI safety and global responsibilities.

Where are the world's AI chips? (1 minute read)

The AI Chip Imports explorer estimates AI compute arrivals by country since 2022, enhancing the mapping of the global AI chip supply chain. It complements existing data on AI chip components, sales, and data centers. These resources collectively provide a detailed overview of AI compute allocation and control worldwide.

The sleep framework: A new way for LLMs to retain knowledge in continual learning (11 minute read)

Researchers have developed a new way to enable large language models to integrate new facts and enhance reasoning without catastrophic forgetting or static knowledge cutoffs. The sleep framework equips large language models with a continuous periodic lifecycle, enabling them to continually learn and consolidate fragile short-term context into stable long-term parameters. Alternating between active interaction and offline memory consolidation allows LLMs to continuously acquire new facts, retain long-context knowledge up to 10M tokens, and improve complex reasoning.

FrontierCode 2.0 (13 minute read)

FrontierCode 2.0 provides broader coverage, higher mergeability standards, and a larger task scope while largely retaining the methodology of FrontierCode 1.0. The benchmark now accommodates surprising but acceptable behavior. Tasks are drawn from more repositories and span more categories, and grading criteria now impose more extensive correctness and design requirements. Reference solutions now modify 67% more files and 89% more lines of code on average compared to FrontierCode 1.1, in codebases that are 25% larger.

Meta's Interactive Simulator for Wearable AI (GitHub Repo)

InteractiveWorld is a simulation framework for training and evaluating wearable AI assistants. It models interactions where an assistant observes through a user's eyes, communicates with them, and receives updated first-person views.

Anthropic's Claude Refutes the Exponential Time Hypothesis, With a Lean Proof (GitHub Repo)

Anthropic says an internal research Claude model found, with no human input, a deterministic algorithm that counts the satisfying assignments of 3-SAT formulas in 2^O(n log log n/√log n) time, which would make 3-SAT subexponential and refute ETH. This repository holds the paper and a Lean 4 formalization written by AI models that builds in about 8 minutes, though Anthropic notes no machine checks that the Lean statement matches the paper and the result says nothing about practical SAT solving. It landed hours after OpenAI's own ETH refutation.

Anthropic's Drug Development Process (4 minute read)

Anthropic partnered with six pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations to explore how Claude could accelerate drug development, from early research to clinical trial preparation. It also launched internal drug discovery programs targeting rare childhood diseases, with Claude handling substantial scientific and operational work.

Anthropic acquired a one-person biotech (4 minute read)

Anthropic has acquired a one-person biotech run by Cody Tranbarger. Mithril Medicine is a startup founded to develop cures for diseases using AI. Joining Anthropic means Mithril will be able to continue running its programs with more resources, and it will allow Tranbarger to start several more programs. They aim to scale the startup's new way of working, then put it in the hands of all biopharma, all over the world.
