Palo Alto Networks buys Protect AI for ~$650M to secure models and agents

Palo Alto Networks announced on April 28, 2025 that it would acquire Protect AI, the AI-security startup behind the Prisma AIRS platform, for a reported $650–700M, adding model scanning, red-teaming and runtime protection for AI applications.
