Cognition acquires Corridor to add security controls to Devin coding agents
Corridor's founders, Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami, are bringing their team into Cognition to lead Devin Security, the product Cognition launched on October 26 to find bugs already present in a codebase. Corridor's focus was stopping new defects from landing as agents write large volumes of code. Neither company has published a price.
Corridor's Series A was led by Felicis, with Conviction and Lux Capital also participating. Dealroom reports that Cognition was most recently valued at roughly $48B, which makes this a product purchase for its security roadmap rather than a financial exit for Corridor's backers.
For founders building coding agents, the deal suggests that security controls are becoming a core product layer rather than a separate tool. Teams that ship agents without policy enforcement and remediation may face pressure to buy or build those features quickly.
