EmbedWay Technologies acquires Shuheng Information for $64.3M
EmbedWay first moved on Shuheng in September 2025, planning to buy 75% through a mix of new shares and cash. In March 2026 it cancelled that 75% deal. It then signed an intent letter for a 48% stake. Shuheng also said it expected CNY 30 million in funding from EmbedWay. The sources found do not confirm which stake the ¥437M covers or whether the June terms changed. The original plan carried earnings commitments. Shuheng's adjusted net income was to reach at least ¥48M in 2025, ¥72M in 2026 and ¥105M in 2027. Whether those targets survive the restructuring is unclear. Analysts described the original deal as a way to build integrated software and hardware AI service capabilities. The buyer's core business is network visualization and intelligent system platforms. For AI founders, the deal shows how Chinese hardware and infrastructure vendors are buying scenario-based AI software teams to move up the stack. The restructuring from majority control to a smaller stake also shows that price and control terms can shift for months before a deal is final. Startups selling enterprise AI into this market should expect hardware-linked buyers, and should expect those buyers to attach performance targets.
