Zhubajie (ZBJ,), founded in 2006 by Zhu Mingyue, runs an online platform where SMEs and other buyers post project needs and hire from 7M+ freelancers and service agencies across 800+ service categories, including branding, marketing, software, intellectual property, company registration and tax services. Revenue comes from platform service fees (historically 5–20% of a project), matching fees, memberships, advertising, tools, subscriptions and in-house enterprise services. Backers include Cybernaut Venture Capital and a Chongqing government investment fund across 4 funding rounds (latest Series C). It filed for a Hong Kong IPO in 2022 and reported RMB 287M revenue for H1 2022, down 25.1% from a year earlier. Despite the 'AI company' framing, it is mainly a services marketplace.
