SpaMedica
SpaMedica is the UK's largest independent provider of NHS cataract surgery, a position it has held since 2018. It also offers YAG laser capsulotomy, vitrectomy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) treatment. Its customers are NHS patients, referred by community optometrists, and the NHS pays for the work. It also offers a private cataract option under the Freedom Vision brand. Its website cites 60 hospitals and over 2,000 employees. It is a member of the Veonet group, which acquired it in 2020 after CBPE Capital's growth investment in 2016. It is not an AI company.
