Sagard is a Power Corporation of Canada-controlled alternative asset manager (not an AI software vendor). It invests across venture capital, private equity, private credit, real estate and royalties, and offers private wealth services through Sagard Wealth. It earns fees by managing capital for institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth clients. It reported more than US$46B in assets under management in 2026, up from US$3.6B in 2020, and targets US$100B by 2029. In 2026 it launched a $150M AI-focused venture fund and agreed to acquire Unigestion's private equity business.
