Pula
Pula is an agricultural insurance and technology company. It designs parametric, hybrid-index and yield-index insurance, and it provides data and geospatial insights for smallholder farmers in Africa, Asia and Latin America. It works as a broker and product designer between aggregators (agribusinesses, NGOs, governments, financial institutions) and insurers and reinsurers, and it does not carry the insurance risk itself. In 2019 it covered about 1.1M farmers in 11 markets. Tracxn lists about $27M raised across 7 rounds, including a Series B in 2024 with investors such as IFC and Accion. Tracxn counts 527 employees as of May 2026.
