Paddle is the legal seller for software, app and AI businesses. It handles checkout, subscription billing, global tax (VAT, GST and sales tax) collection and remittance, fraud and chargebacks across 200+ markets. Its customers include n8n, MacPaw and GoodNotes, and it also offers AI-specific billing such as credit packs and usage-based pricing. It earns a per-transaction fee, with published pricing from 5% + 50¢. It has raised about $293M in total, including a $200M Series D in 2022 and a $25M debt facility from CIBC Innovation Banking in July 2025, and Tracxn lists a valuation of about $1.4B.
