ECRS (ECR Software Corporation) is a privately held retail technology company founded in 1989 by Pete Catoe. Its flagship CATAPULT platform covers POS, self-checkout, e-commerce, inventory and supply chain, loyalty, payments and analytics, and it has added AI features such as Chat with Cognition. It sells to local and regional retailers, mainly grocers, pharmacies and specialty food stores, including Twin Liquors, Erewhon and Piggly Wiggly. It appears to be unfunded or self-funded, and it was ranked #1 overall on the 2021 RIS Software LeaderBoard.
