Ascend Money
Ascend Money is a fintech company under Ascend Group, which is owned by Charoen Pokphand Group. Its TrueMoney platform offers e-payments, lending, BNPL, investment and insurance. It operates in 7 countries (Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia) through an app and an agent network. It became Thailand's first fintech unicorn in 2021, when it raised $150M at a $1.5B valuation. In June 2024 it raised a further $195M led by MUFG. It reported about 30 million active users in Thailand in 2024.
