Founded in 2015 by the Basiri brothers, it raised a US$300M Series D led by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in 2021 at a reported US$3.2B valuation, and secured a $100M debt facility in 2024. Total funding estimates vary widely by source, and Fidelity reportedly wrote its stake down by about two-thirds in 2026.
