Veeam develops data protection, disaster recovery and cyber-resilience software, and has added AI-driven data security through its Securiti AI deal. It sells through software licenses and subscriptions, largely via channel partners, to about 400K customers worldwide. Founded in 2006, it is privately held and owned by Insight Partners. Reported revenue passed $1B in 2019, and its last known valuation was about $15B (Feb 2025). In October 2025 it announced a $1.725B acquisition of Securiti AI, a data security posture management company. Its largest R&D center is in Prague.
