Own Company (formerly OwnBackup) sells a cloud data platform that protects and activates SaaS data. It offers automated backup, rapid recovery, compliance and archiving tools, plus sandbox seeding and analytics. Its customers are thousands of organizations that run Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and it sells through a SaaS subscription model. It was founded in 2015 and raised about $507M in total funding. Salesforce announced a $1.9B cash acquisition in September 2024 and completed it on November 18, 2024.
