Manus
Manus is a general-purpose autonomous AI agent, sold by subscription to consumers, professionals and businesses, that runs multi-step tasks like research, coding and data analysis.
Manus, built by Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd., is an AI agent that orchestrates third-party models such as Claude and Qwen to complete tasks like market research, coding, website creation and data analysis. It is sold on a subscription basis to individuals and teams (a team plan existed in 2025–26). The company was founded in China in 2022 and moved its headquarters to Singapore in mid-2025, after a $75M Series B led by Benchmark in April 2025 at about a $500M valuation. It reported over $100M ARR eight months after launch and a run rate above $125M by December 2025. Meta agreed to acquire it for more than $2B in December 2025, but Chinese regulators blocked the deal in 2026 and Manus has since resumed independent operations. Reports in September 2026 say it is raising about $500M at a $4B valuation.
