About Divvy

Divvy combines expense management software, budgeting tools and smart corporate cards in one platform for small and mid-sized businesses. It was founded in 2016 by Blake Murray and Alex Bean. Bill.com announced its acquisition in May 2021 for about $2.5B ($625M cash plus $1.875B stock). Before the sale, Divvy had raised roughly $418–448M, including a $165M Series D led by PayPal in January 2021, and served more than 7,500 monthly active SMBs. It has since been rebranded as BILL Spend & Expense.
