Sentra raises $150M Series C led by Capital One Ventures
Capital One Ventures led the Series C, and its corporate arm will place a representative on the board. Existing backers Bessemer Venture Partners, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments, Munich Re Ventures and Key1 Capital also took part. No valuation was made public. The Israeli company, founded in 2021, sells software that classifies enterprise data and maps which people, service accounts and AI agents can reach each dataset.
The pitch centers on agents as heavy consumers of enterprise data, often inheriting permissions nobody has reviewed. Sentra says its platform removes stale, high-risk data, limits agents to the access their work needs, and flags an agent that reaches for sensitive data outside its normal pattern. Its analysis runs inside the customer environment, so the sensitive data stays there.
For founders building agents, enterprise buyers now expect a record of everything an agent could reach, so permission design and data governance belong in the product plan from the first release. Sentra says its business grew more than 300% over the past year, which shows how quickly this control layer is being bought.
