Hark raises $700M Series A at $6B for personal-intelligence hardware
The round was announced on May 21, 2026, not in March. March 24 was when founder Brett Adcock, who also founded Figure AI, took the company out of stealth. The oversubscribed round drew Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, ARK, Brookfield and Greycroft, among others. Adcock seeded the company with $100 million of his own money in late 2025. The first product is software, with multimodal models due this summer and hardware coming later. Hark is entering a field that includes OpenAI's Jony Ive device and Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses, but it trains its own models rather than licensing them. In August, AT&T made a strategic investment tied to a partnership covering device certification and network connectivity. Hark has published no launch date for its hardware. For AI founders, the round shows that chipmakers and carriers will fund a vertically integrated consumer stack before any product ships. Investors here are paying for the founder, the team and guaranteed compute access. Startups pitching models plus devices should expect suppliers and distributors to take equity in return for supply and distribution. The risk is that a $6 billion valuation sets a high bar for a first product.
