Capacity raises $54M Series E
Kathy Ireland is the only investor named, and is described as leading the round. The rest of the syndicate, the valuation and the terms were not disclosed. The raise lifts total funding to more than $159M. The company says it will spend on R&D across AI agents and knowledge orchestration, on go-to-market and customer success hiring, on partnerships and integrations, and on international expansion. The St. Louis company was founded in 2017 by CEO David Karandish. It reports more than 20,000 customers, including 20% of the Fortune 50. It has also been acquisitive: it bought KLaunch in September 2025 and Creovai in October 2025, and CMSWire counts 13 acquisitions since 2023. Karandish told Axios Pro the company is eyeing further deals. The revenue and customer figures are company-reported, not audited. For founders building in support automation, the pitch here is consolidation. Capacity sells voice, chat, agent assist, quality assurance and outbound campaigns on one shared knowledge layer, and argues that buyers want fewer vendors. A $100M ARR competitor with fresh capital and an acquisition habit raises the bar for single-feature tools. Narrow products will need clear integration stories or a defensible niche.
