Confido raises $55M Series B
Investors in the round included Trenches Capital, Watchfire and Barrel Ventures. Footwork and Y Combinator also returned, and both have now backed the company in three straight rounds. Valuation was not disclosed, but Confido said its business has grown fivefold year over year since its Series A, and its valuation rose fivefold over the same period. The money will go to product development, expansion into food service, and hiring across product, engineering and go-to-market. Justin Hunter and Kara Holinski founded the New York company in 2022. It began with cash application and deductions management, then added trade promotion management and sales forecasting. More than 250 brands use it, including Daisy, Dude Wipes, Kettle & Fire and Unilever, and more than $30 billion in retail sales planning runs through the platform. For AI founders, Confido shows how a vertical company can grow. It started with one painful finance workflow and expanded into adjacent modules built on the same data, and growth investors are paying for that. The company says the new capital will fund agentic, zero-click workflows across the platform.
