Cerebras Systems raises $1B Series H
Tiger Global led the round at a post-money valuation of about $23 billion. Benchmark, Fidelity, Atreides Management, Alpha Wave Global, Altimeter, AMD, Coatue and 1789 Capital took part, among others. The valuation was nearly triple the $8.1 billion set in the Series G in October 2025, roughly four months earlier. The timing followed a large customer deal. The raise came two weeks after Cerebras announced a $10bn agreement to deliver 750MW of compute to OpenAI by 2028. Before that announcement, reports had put the target at $1 billion at a $22bn valuation, ahead of a planned IPO. The IPO followed. Cerebras priced its offering at $185 per share on May 14, 2026, and that valuation is more than double the Series H figure. Crunchbase's total of more than $100M in venture funding is badly out of date. Other trackers put the private total in the billions. For AI founders, the sequence shows how a single anchor compute contract can reprice an infrastructure company within weeks. It also shows that late-stage investors paid up for supply capacity before public markets did. Startups that depend on inference capacity now have another listed alternative to Nvidia, and one whose largest customer is also a shareholder.
