MN8 Energy
MN8 Energy develops, owns and operates utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-power EV charging projects. It sells long-term power purchase agreements to enterprise, corporate, government and utility customers, including Meta and Microsoft. It was spun out of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's renewable power platform, which launched in 2017, and became an independent company in 2022. In 2026 it reported about 4 GW of operating and under-construction solar, 1.5 GWh of battery storage and 40+ EV charging stations. It filed for an IPO in 2023 and withdrew it in August 2024. It has since agreed to acquire Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company. Note that it is an energy company, not an AI company.
