Xapien raises $55.9M Series B
Spectrum Equity led the round, with existing backer YFM Equity Partners returning. Valuation and ownership stakes were not disclosed. The company says it will expand its Boston office and move senior staff, including CEO Chris Green, across the Atlantic. Axios reported that total equity funding now exceeds $73 million, following a £6 million seed round in 2023. Xapien reports 350% ARR growth over two years and about 350 clients in 15 countries. Press coverage dates the announcement to September 11, while Crunchbase lists September 10. Dow Jones is a named customer. Xapien is also pushing a perpetual KYC product, which monitors counterparties continuously instead of at fixed review dates. Regulators in the UK, EU and US are reportedly moving toward expecting continuous monitoring for financial crime risk.
