Viabot raises $24M Series A
Walden International led the round, with CDIB Capital Group and Stalwart Ventures joining. Baseline Ventures, Era Ventures, Morado Ventures and SOSV also participated. Cumulative funding now stands at $43 million. The money goes to sales and engineering hires, new products, and the robotics-as-a-service offering built around the Viabot One. Valuation was not disclosed. The Santa Clara company says the Viabot One covers about 25 million square feet of commercial property. It says its models were trained on more than 5 billion square feet of real-world data. The robot collects debris up to 10 inches and uses cameras, lidar and depth sensors. It also flags loitering, which the company sells as soft security, with human staff reviewing alerts. Battery life is about six hours before docking. For AI founders, the signal is in the business model. Viabot sells a recurring service on robot hardware and stacks a second revenue line, monitoring, onto the same sensor package. Its data advantage comes from operating in the field, not from a model licensed elsewhere. Investors appear willing to fund physical AI that replaces high-turnover manual labor, provided unit economics hold up at scale.
