Spott raises $21M Series A
Balderton led the round, with Base10 Partners, Y Combinator and Fortino also investing. It came eighteen months after a $3.2M seed led by Base10 Partners in March 2025, bringing total funding to $24.2 million. No valuation was disclosed. Lander Degreve, Manu Vanderveeren and Samuel Smeys founded the company in 2024, and it is based in Leuven, Belgium. Spott sells a combined applicant tracking system and CRM built for recruitment agencies. Agencies usually run separate tools for tracking, CRM, sourcing, outreach, note-taking and scheduling, and Spott replaces them with one platform. Candidates are not moved into pipelines or shown to clients until a recruiter approves. The company says revenue is up more than tenfold since the start of 2026, and about 20% of it comes from APAC and 15% from the US. It is opening offices in Sydney and New York and expects headcount to rise from 44 to roughly 60 by year-end. For founders, the deal shows investors backing vertical AI that replaces the main system of record in a services industry, not tools that sit on top of it. The required human sign-off is also a deliberate product choice, built to win trust in a business that runs on relationships.
