Parloa raises $350M Series D
General Catalyst led the round at a $3 billion valuation. Existing backers EQT Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Durable Capital Partners and Mosaic Ventures also took part. General Catalyst CEO Hemant Taneja and president Jeannette zu Fürstenberg join Parloa's supervisory board. Total funding now exceeds $560 million, well above the figure in Crunchbase's record. The Berlin company plans to grow headcount from 380 to 600 by the end of 2026, mainly in engineering and sales. It is also expanding in the US and Europe, with offices or teams in New York, San Francisco, Madrid and London. The previous round was a $120 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation. Parloa later reported more than $50 million in annual recurring revenue and 150% net revenue retention. It also announced partnerships with SAP, Microsoft, OpenAI, Five9 and Epic. For AI founders, the pace stands out. A voice and chat agent vendor selling to large enterprises such as Allianz, Booking.com and SAP raised a round three times its prior valuation in under a year. Revenue retention above 100% and cloud and model partnerships appear to be what investors are paying for. Competitors in customer service automation now face a rival with far more capital.
