OuterSignal raises $22M Series A
Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures co-led the round, with BAM Ventures, Top Shelf Ventures, SuperAngel.Fund, AME Cloud Ventures and angels participating. Valuation was not disclosed. The company says it serves thousands of consumer brands and hundreds of millions of orders. A $2.2M seed round was reportedly closed in June 2026. The product connects to a brand's commerce platform or CRM. It fills in who each buyer is using publicly available information, and brands then build segments, VIP alerts, campaigns and ad audiences from those profiles. Funds are earmarked for the research engine, personalization features, and hiring across engineering, go-to-market, operations and customer experience. The CEO is Zach Zelner. The traction figures come from the company, not from audited numbers. Open questions remain on revenue, retention and how many of those brands pay meaningfully. For AI founders, the round shows investors will fund a thin application layer on top of existing commerce data if adoption is fast. It also puts a spotlight on a data-sourcing risk: profiling individual shoppers from public information invites privacy scrutiny, and any company selling similar enrichment should expect buyers to ask where the data comes from.
