Loora raises $22M Series B
Union Tech Ventures led the round, with vgames joining and existing backers Emerge, Hearst Ventures and QP Ventures participating. Total funding now stands at $43.25 million. Valuation was not disclosed in the sources reviewed. Revenue more than doubled over the last twelve months, and ARR is in the tens of millions. Headcount is expected to go from 30 to 60 within six months, with hiring focused on AI research and learning science. The money is earmarked for AI research and engineering, go-to-market in the US, Europe, Asia and South America, and data and research infrastructure. The company claims 15 million learners and more than 200 million conversations. It built a B2B business from scratch in the past year, signing more than 100 corporations, governments and universities. Consumer pricing is about $10 per month. Earlier funding was a $9.25 million seed and a $12 million Series A in 2024. For AI founders, the pitch is a vertical product that competes with general-purpose LLMs on outcomes. Loora argues its system learns from hundreds of millions of real interactions which paths produce retention and fluency. That makes proprietary usage data the stated moat. The numbers also show a lean team reaching eight-figure ARR, and a consumer subscription app adding enterprise sales as a second channel.
