Harvey buys Benchmark, an asset management decision platform, for undisclosed sum
Benchmark captures the institutional knowledge of investment firms and turns it into guidance for new deals. Harvey said the Benchmark team will work on continuity of service for existing customers, while its platform capabilities are folded into Harvey's product. Harvey described the deal as its third acquisition of 2026 and said it added more than $100 million in net-new ARR during a record second quarter. Benchmark's investors include Y Combinator and the Outsiders Fund.
Harvey is an application layer company for legal work, and its asset management clients were a natural base for the product. Harvey's chief executive said asset management customers named Benchmark in nearly every conversation about tools they trusted. The price was not disclosed in the announcement.
For founders, the deal shows vertical AI applications buying narrow decision tools to deepen their hold on regulated buyers. Teams building domain products should expect application leaders in adjacent categories to acquire specialists rather than build the same features from scratch.
