Epsilon Health raises $20M Series A
AlleyCorp led the round, with participation from Uncork Capital, Renegade Partners, SemperVirens, and Jack Altman. Figures differ by source. The company's announcement says it raised $27.6 million, and it labels $20M as the Series A led by AlleyCorp. An SEC filing reported by Intelligence360 also shows $27.6M in new Series A funding. Treat the exact round size as unsettled until the company clarifies. Epsilon is an AI-native radiology practice, led by founder and CEO Rustin Rassoli, that pairs AI with board-certified radiologist oversight to deliver diagnostic interpretation. It processes more than 2,500 imaging studies a day. The company claims more than 300,000 patients supported in under a year and says it is on track to handle 1% of daily U.S. X-rays. Proceeds are earmarked for market expansion, hiring, clinical partnerships and new infrastructure. For AI founders, the notable choice is the business model. Unlike most radiology AI startups, Epsilon positions itself as a practice rather than a model vendor. That means it owns the clinical service and the outcomes, not just a software license. It says this setup creates a continuous feedback loop and a real-world clinical dataset. Investors are still funding that full-stack approach in a crowded field. Founders selling AI tools to health systems should expect to be compared with it.
