Higgsfield raises $400M Series B at $5.4B for creator-first AI video
DST Global led the round, and new backers included Tribe Capital, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Fifth Wall, Intel Capital and Liberty Global Tech Ventures. At least 18 investors took part. The company says it has more than 30 million users and serves 390 of the Fortune 500. The valuation is more than four times the $1.3B set in January. Proceeds are earmarked for R&D, compute infrastructure, hiring and international expansion. The $5.4B mark is now above Runway's $5.3B Series E valuation, and Higgsfield's reported ARR is more than double Runway's. Its early pitch was curated presets that produce a cinematic shot with a click, where rival tools required elaborate prompting. Brands such as Dollar Shave Club reportedly use it to make several videos a day. Founded in 2023, it has moved from creator tool to marketing production software. For founders, the revenue curve matters more than the valuation. Packaging model access into a simple workflow reached $700M in annualized revenue in about a year, according to the company's CEO. The investor list also leans strategic, with compute, connectivity and media money. One reading is that those industries treat the platform as infrastructure rather than a vendor. Competing video startups now face a better-funded rival that sells to enterprises.
