CloudNC raises $20M Series B
Nimble Ventures led the round. Calculus Venture Capital, Entrepreneur First and LM Ventures, Lockheed Martin's venture fund, also took part. Valuation was not disclosed. TechCrunch frames the deal as an extension of the Series B the company closed in 2022, while Tech.eu counts it as a Series B, so databases may label it differently. Lifetime funding now totals $128M. The money goes to wider adoption of CAM Assist, plus go-to-market, customer support and partnerships. It also funds Quote Agent, an AI product due later in 2026 that helps shops assess jobs and prepare estimates. CAM Assist handles first-pass CNC programming: it picks tools, approach directions, feeds and speeds, then drafts machine code for a programmer to review and approve. The company says more than 1,000 shops use it, including hundreds in the US. Lockheed Martin and Major Tool and Machine are named customers. For AI founders, the deal shows a vertical product that keeps a human approver in the loop and has reached real shop-floor deployment. Adding quoting to programming also points to a path from a single tool toward a wider workflow layer. Industrial buyers and defense-linked investors are paying for that kind of narrow, verifiable automation. An extension, not a new priced round, also suggests existing backers still see room to grow.
